ATN-Europe was set up in 2015 as the European extension of American Technologies Network (ATN) Corp, a leading manufacturer and developer of high-performance night vision and thermal imaging optics.
Terence Garlick, the Operations Director, was recruited to set the company up, based on his extensive experience and knowledge of European distribution. In addition to European sales, the company is now reaching buyers in the Middle East, Africa and Australia. Customers have included the Forestry Commission, NFU, Qatar Navy, Danish Navy and Saudi Border Guard.
In the first year, the company grew from one to 11 employees, and there are plans to recruit a further 4 members of staff within the next 12 months.
The manufacture of the high end premium range of night vision goggles, binoculars and scopes is being brought back from China and will now take place in Hereford to ensure the highest level of quality control.
ATN-Europe recently moved into Skylon Place, a high quality, new courtyard development on Hereford Enterprise Zone.
